Event Site Access and Accessible Area

We want all areas of the XX arena to be as accessible as possible for all users. The access road to the main arena is tarmac with no steep climbs and very good surface. The main arena itself will be a mix of gravel, grass and tarmac. Gravel can obviously be challenging for wheelchairs so we advise making use of the blue badge car park and the entry from there into the ‘accessible area’ of the main arena:

•   It’s accessible by flat, tarmac surface from the blue badge car park

•   It’s close to the disabled toilets, which offer easy wheelchair access

•  Seating will be provided for carers/PA

•  There will be a trackway from there to the edge of the food area which is on grass. Carers will then be able to access the food vendors if the grass terrain is unsuitable

•  There will dedicated stewarding in this area

However if you require any assistance when you arrive, please talk to a member of staff and they will be happy to assist you.

If you wish to make use of the limited number of spaces within the accessible area, then please contact us at xx@skerryvore.com to book your space (for you + PA) and attach a scan of a letter from the DWP or alternative evidence supporting your requirement of the use of the accessible facilities.

If you have any questions regarding your access requirements, please do not hesitate to contact us at xx@skerryvore.com

Parking & Access – Blue Badge ticket holders, please see the information in section 3 regarding parking and access to the site.

Accessible Toilets – There will be fully wheelchair accessible toilets in the event arena. If you have a medical condition that requires you to be able to get to a toilet quickly, please talk to a member of the first aid team, who will be situated at the first aid station.  They will be able to ensure you can get quick access to a toilet.

Assistance Dogs – A ‘recognised Assistance Dog’ is one which has been specifically trained to assist a disabled person and which has been qualified by one of the charitable organisations as members of Assistance Dogs UK.

Please let us know in advance if you will be bringing your Assistance Dog to the festival by emailing xx@skerryvore.com

Strobe Lighting – Please note some of the music performances may include strobe lighting.

Folding Chairs – Folding chairs are not permitted in the event arena. There are grandstand seats available for those that prefer to sit. For anyone with accessible needs, there will be a dedicated area within the event arena.

PA/Carer Ticket – Should you require a carer or PA ticket for the event. Please purchase your event ticket then email xx@skerryvore.com with your ticket confirmation number and carer ticket request for this to be processed. Please note that free PA tickets exclude VIP.
