SKERRYVORE BLOW AWAY MUSIC INDUSTRY & MEDIA WITH NEW 'SKERRYVORE' ALBUM RELEASE & LIVE ALBUM LAUNCH CONCERT AT GLASGOW'S ABC.
Well what a week it has been for Skerryvore; the new album 'Skerryvore' was released in HMV Buchanan Street Glasgow, with a live show inside the store and the album went on sale at 4pm on Thursday 1st July with sales greatly exceeding the band and music industry expectations, creating what can only be described as a media frenzy !!!!
With a double colour spread in the Evening Times, album reviews in the Daily Record (see above), coverage in The Herald, journalists joustling to interview the band at the recent ABC album launch concert and the album being played on Radio 2 and stations across the UK, well it has been a great start to the album tour.

Within two hours of the album going on sale in the store; there were queues at the tills with exisiting and new fans buying the album - so a MASSIVE thank you from the band.
Skerryvore would like to thank the respected media for their fantastic coverage, reviews and of course to the fans who have bought the new album.....keep spreading the word to friends, family and colleagues at school, work or college.
Let's get Skerryvore into the UK album charts and we are pleased to announce that the album was recently played on Radio 2 which has resulted in increased interest in the band and lots of new fans.......onwards and upwards with the new album tour.
The album launch concert at the ABC Glasgow was a sensational evening and was a real landmark in the career of Skerryvore; it was an amazing sight to see the huge queue of fans bustling to get into the venue before doors had even opened and hundreds of fans lining down Sauchiehall Street. It was so busy we had to delay going on stage by 30 minutes to try and get all fans in the venue before the first notes of 'Call of The Sea' filled the air and then the mighty ' Wits End' which got the crowd dancing, jumping and generally going wild.....
